Ace looks absolutely gorgeous pregnant. Yeah, it's a cliche, but she really is radiant. And her condition doesn't compromise her style in any way...no frumpy maternity clothes for her! Robert and I were marveling at how she looks exactly the same, just with a sudden bulge in the middle like a (pregnant) parenthesis! At the shower this weekend, she was wearing a body-conscious black top that made no attempt to hide her belly and dark skinny jeans that I thought were her usual Blue Cults but turned out to actually be maternity jeans. I'm impressed by how maternity clothes have improved. Even though I'm not in the market for them right now, it's nice to know that someday if I have kids I won't have to wear a muu muu.

We had fun at her shower...Robert enjoyed himself too, filling up on party food and good-naturedly oohing and ahhing as she opened presents. It really makes me grateful that we've been friends for so long and that I've seen her go through so much to get to this point.  I was telling Amy yesterday that good friends are like family that you choose. It's true!
