Today we're going to a baby shower for our friends Ace and Patrick...ha ha, Robert thought he would be off the hook but they made it a Jack and Jill event. That seems to be more prevalent these days, and I'm glad. All women affairs don't really make sense anymore. Or, as a guy friend of mine put it..."Misery loves company!"
Ha ha! I think it will be fun...I told Robert to look at it as a barbecue for a friend who just happens to be pregnant.
We're bringing a large shiny box of very small things, some of which could easily fit our cat (No, I didn't try them on her...she already has socks). Come to think of it, a lot of the baby toys I saw while shopping were really not all that dissimilar from the toys I see for cats. Crinkly things and dangly things seem to be very popular. And like cats, I bet most babies would rather play with an empty cardboard tube despite what the scientists claim are the best developmental toys.
What a racket!
