I found my favorite earring that dropped off my ear November 3rd and that I thought was gone for good. While scrounging in my work bag on the train this morning, looking for a pencil that I thought had falllen to the bottom, it suddenly and surprisingly emerged. Now, I had been through the bag a zillion times and dumped it out, shaken it, checked every little pocket. I still have no idea how it managed to hide for an entire month! But it's back, and I'm happy, and I saved money since I hadn't had a chance to go to the shop to replace it yet. And I feel a little bad for assuming it had fallen on the floor of the train, and that people sucked and that no one bothered to tell me.
