Attaboy, Luther!

I was delighted to discover that Sarah Dyer, creator of Action Girl, has a fun little web site up with her blog, recipes, and other assorted treats. When I first started going into comic book shops by myself over 10 years ago, it was still a very male-dominated environment and Action Girl, an anthology showcasing female and female-friendly comic artists was a really cool discovery for me. She also collaborates with/is married to Evan Dorkin, cranky creator of Milk & Cheese and Dork!  Milk and Cheese is what really got me to appreciate comics, and was like the gateway drug for me. I may not read them as often as I used to, but I am forever grateful. Yes, comic book stores are still creepy, but what's on the shelves makes it all worth the trip.
