GO SOX!
Overslept this morning, which wasn't surprising considering all the late nights recently watching the Red Sox, so I missed the usual commuter rail to Boston and had to take Amtrak. Had to chuckle when I got on the train...practically every seat had an unconscious person in Red Sox gear slumped over and snoring away. I'd forgotten that that particular train comes in from New York.
It's amazing to be in Boston today...people are exhausted, but happy, smiling, and friendly. It's such a contrast to the city's normal everyday crankiness and especially a big contrast to last year, when it was basically a town in mourning. I remember people calling in sick and others just walking around looking hollow eyed and zombie-ish.
I'm really glad the Sox get to go to the Series...I think they deserve it.
