I just can't seem to get into the holiday spirit this year...I've been putting off shopping, and only get excited when I see stuff that I would like for myself, heh heh.  I was talking to the IT guy at work the other day, and we were both saying that when we really want something, we tend to just go out and buy it. Why wait til Christmas? We're a society driven by instant gratification.

I am also horrified to realize that I now actually appreciate "practical" presents...oh my god, I'm an ADULT! I honestly wouldn't mind if Santa got all my presents at the Subaru dealership service department this year...I could use new tires and a tune up....oh ok, Santa, maybe you can bring me a snowboard rack for the car if you're worried I'm getting too cranky in my adulthood. But I'll probably beat you to it and buy it myself....bwahaha!  

I'm sure the spirit will kick in last minute, because I truly do love buying presents for people I love, but in the meantime I'm just going to revel in my Grinchiness.
